Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades, Contract 1-2026, Village of Barrington, Illinois

Overview

The Project includes the following Work: Modifications to the existing Control Building (Structure 10), including new mechanical fine screens, wash presses, dry-well influent pumps; new influent flow splitter structure (Structure 15); modifications to the primary clarifiers (Structure 15), aeration tanks (Structure 20), existing final clarifiers (Structure 35), and aerobic digesters and adjacent piping gallery (Structure 55); construction of two new final clarifiers and mixed liquor splitter structure (Structure 25); construction of a new Cascade Aeration Structure (Structure 33) and Blower Building (Structure 40), modifications to existing Filter Building (Structure 30), including new tertiary filters, ultraviolet disinfection equipment, and non potable water pumping equipment; conversion of an unused final clarifier to a waste activated sludge gravity thickener (Structure 50), modifications of the existing Dewatering Building (Structure 60) including a new dewatering centrifuge; new Administration Building (Structure 90); demolition of several structures, and miscellaneous piping, mechanical, heating and air conditioning, electrical, supervisory control and data acquisition, and site improvements.
