City of Sparta - Idol Avenue Watermain Extension

Overview

The Project includes the following Work: • Clearing and grubbing. • Installation of approximately 4700 linear feet of ductile iron water mains (6-inch and 8-inch) and all associated fittings and appurtenances. • Installation of water services. • Replacement of existing storm sewer culverts (18-inch and 30-inch). • Installation of two water main crossing under STH 27 (trenchless methods). • Removal of existing asphaltic pavement on Idol Avenue. • Reconstruction of base aggregate and asphaltic concrete pavement on Idol Avenue where roadway is currently paved. • Erosion control and turf restoration for the disturbed project area. • Abandonment of two (2) existing private wells. The anticipated substantial completion date is June 1, 2027 and final completion date is July 15, 2027.
