Overview

The work for which bids are asked generally includes the following: Construction of a municipal wellhouse with exterior dimensions of 22’x22’ featuring cast-in-place concrete foundation and floor, masonry block walls, trussed asphalt shingle roof, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, controls, process piping, and chemical feed system. Installation of well pump, column piping, and pitless unit. Installation of approximately 600LF of water main piping with associated appurtenances. Site grading, CABC driveway, chain link fence with electric gate, seeding, pavement patching, sidewalk, erosion control. Water system SCADA improvements at all three wellhouses, elevated storage tank, and wastewater facility. Electrical, architectural, HVAC, plumbing and process mechanical improvements to existing wellhouses 1 & 2. The project locations are 1960 Dows Street, 1595 Hillcrest Street, 1570 Rowley Street, and 1124 Vista Road, Ely, Iowa 52227. The substantial completion date is December 15, 2027 and the final completion date is February 15, 2028. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.
